Energy in kilowatt-hours is the power in kilowatts times the hours of use. The cost is that energy multiplied by your price per kWh.

Where do I find an appliance's wattage?

It's usually printed on the device or its label, or in the manual. If only amps and volts are given, watts = volts × amps.
