About this tool
This converter handles the three temperature scales you are most likely to need: Celsius, used in most of the world and in science; Fahrenheit, common in the United States; and Kelvin, the SI base unit used in physics and chemistry.
The three fields are linked, so you can type into whichever unit you have and read off the others immediately. It is useful for cooking with a recipe written for another country, reading a weather forecast abroad, or checking lab values.
Conversions are exact and run entirely in your browser, with no rounding beyond what is shown and nothing sent over the network.
